I bought a OFW 3.55 Ps3 from ebay and i wanted to host some xp lobbies in MW3. But I am noob in hacking Ps3 and I dont even know how to put the CFW on my PS3. I wanna put that 4.21 but like i said i have no idea on how to do it. I have done jailbreaking on iPhones and stuff but jailbreaking a PS3 takes a little bit more effort as i know that you can easily get it bricked if you do something wrong (right?). So all i want is some help or a tutorial from you guys who are some experts or doing this from long time.

Ok im not the right guy to help u with the mw3 lobby modding but listn up, Sony is in rage mode power level goku with the banning of cfw that go online. If u want to keep ur ability to go online in later stadium dont go online and hold on on your presious consoleid and psnid. If u bought the ps3 just for hacking online ur gonna get banned sooner or later, the good days of online cfw is over igues

How do people host a XP lobby then ? I dont think that they stay offline dude and they still do that. If sony was really taking action and was doing Kamehameha on people then this section of the forum would have been deleted.

i got 3 console ban's just from MW3 .... so if u want to be save stay away from all COD

Stay away from MW3 and Black Ops 2. If you just bought a 3.55, then you want to keep it active. MW3 or Black Ops 2 modding WILL result in a Console Ban.

Not at all. Sony is working in conjunction with Activision to find and ban people with CFW, or hackers if you will. Only Activision has come under such massive attacks as to see their games completely ruined (MW2 style) and as such their security measures far exceed those of other companies' games which means when you mod BO2, you MUST have CFW. If they know you have CFW, you are banned. Other games like GTA4 are moddable on OFW by way of data transfer. This means since you do not have CFW, you have not breached Sony's license agreement and could just have acquired a patch by paying someone to transfer their patch to your PS3. In turn, that means you have only breached the licence for that game. At this point, it is down to the game's publisher to ban you from that individual game. Most games do not have such a thing possible and as such it is possible to mod these games without threat of ban.

Yes it is very risky going online now, I've been banned but i'm working on a work around for this but keeping it secret til I dteremine if it'll be valid or not. However if you still wat to jailbreak, I suggest this guide it's the one I followed and it went perfect for me!

P.S. It's a downgrade guide as well, however just get to the point where it say's what to do after you get on 3.55. I suggest you read everything, beginning to end, and MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING 100% BEFORE DOING ANYTHING, VERY IMPORTANT!!!

People offer service in this forum like xp lobby and RTE so why dont they get banned ? What do they do to stay invisible while they do all that RTE and stuff ?

They are going safe, using PSNinja & aren't hosting much.

Have you ever tried to do it bud ? Or do you know how i can i get CFW on my PS3 and host some xp lobbies and be safe doing that? Thanks for your help though everyone
