(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); im thinking of the jailbreak 3.55 since it is older i do understand its has more mods then the newest one as the newest on has better options on it i was wondering if there is a way i can get a hold of 4.40 i need a good download most on the net are fakes i need a proper one. 3.55 i no it can ban but if i dont use any cheats on it is it still a possable ban. what are the advantages and disadvatages of having newer to older jailbreak. HELP?

the newest jailbreak firmware is 3.55, you cant jb on a 4.40 or anything above a 3.55 so 3.55 would be best,
you can get banned for using homebrew online its a little risky

What would the ban be console ban or account ban all I'm looking for is just to make my ps3 look better with custom options but still be able to play mw3 with no hacks tho

Moved to PS3 Mods questions.

1. You need a 3.55 PS3 to jailbreak a PS3, if its higher than that FW then you would have to downgrade using E3 Flasher or find a downgrade Service e.g. Ebay etc..
2. 3.55 and 4.40 don't have much difference except that 4.40 can play much more of the latest games and has slight more options such as launching PS2 Classics through MultiMan and PS2 Placeholder to run the games.

Update to one of the newer firmwares, you wont have to install custom eboots for games that came after 3.55 and you can spoof to get online, you will risk console ban, just dont be stupid and use homebrew online or mod black ops mw3 or black ops 2 (dont even play black ops 2 online you will get banned even playing legit) and you can use a pkg signer to resign homebrew for the newer cfw.
