It's a type a of modchip. You still have to open your PS3 like an E3 flasher. However, they're cheaper (about $50-$60 USD compared to $80-$90 USD for E3 flasher). ProgSkeets can downgrade both NAND and NOR PS3s. Unlike E3 flashers (which can only downgrade NOR PS3s) ProgSkeets require soldering if you're downgrading NOR. Otherwise, you'll fry your PS3 (if your lucky, it'll explode). No soldering is required if you're downgrading a NAND PS3.
