I do live in the US, so is it necessary, or just a trick they use to try to get you to buy more stuff?

All you really need to downgrade is the Flasher. If you want to dual boot, then yes you well need all the accessory's. Check this guide out, I used to and it worked out perfectly for me. JUST BE SURE TO READ EVERYTHING FULLY, AND UNTIL YOU COMPLETELY! UNDERSTAND IT, VERY IMPORTANT!!!

why would i need it to dual boot but not just to downgrade. and ive been looking over guides for a long time now i pretty much understand most things now. its just the buying process now
