You cannot update while on DEX you have to switch back to CEX then update then redo the tutorial but while on 4.30, really no point to be honest and yes multiman works for everything I would say

He can, this was the whole point in releasing the D-REX edition.

So yes just install Rebug 4.30.2 D-REX from XMB on top of your Rebug 4.21.2 while in DEX Mode.

You just switch to CEX from the Rebug Toolbox.

But if you want to re-write your target id to CEX, you have to dump your flash and convert it to CEX.

It's the same as switching to CEX, updating and converting back to DEX.

But if he's already on DEX, he'll probably stay on DEX when he updates, so he doesn't have to convert to CEX.

All he has to do is install Rebug 4.30.2 D-REX on top of his Rebug 4.21.2 DEX and that's it.
