I last left off with my modded 3.55 cfw ps3( that i still have) and my ofw ps3( also still have, and is up to date firmware). When i look i see things about real time modding witch is bad a** now that we can do that but my question to you guys is what should i do with my cfw ps3 to get back into hacking? Should i update it to a new and better hacked firmware or stay at 3.55 and data transfer like i use to? im not sure where to start any advice would be nice

3.55 CFWs are just not outdated now, i'd recommend updating to rebug 4.30.2 REX. However if you want to do RTE, you need to make your PS3 dex, here's a tutorial on how to get to it. : You must login or register to view this content.

okay thank you for your help, and why 4.30.2? can i go online with it and i was just looking at 3.55.4 REX, What are the differences between all the firmware with REX? and what is REX?

Just because it's an updated version of CFW, and you can run all new games without fixes and all that. And don't worry, with 4.xx CFW's you can go back to 3.55. Also, yes you can go online with it, you just need the spoofer/updater.

I saw that and was reading it but im not sure what to pick as my cfw, and how to get there from rebugged 3.55.2 cfw to 4.30.2 cfw so i can do RTE and mod again

Hey do i need to be on dex to run rex 3.55.2 cfw? because i went and put my ps3 on 3.55 ofw so i could have a clean start, and now im putting it back on cfw

DEX is something you go on after you're on CFW.

Okay well is this a good thing to follow?
