And if PS3 makes a new update and you cant go online with 4.41 anymore, will you be able to put a higher version CFW over top of the 4.41? And which is the best 4.41 CFW right now? Yes you can revert from 4.41 CFW back to 3.55 without hardware mods.
If Sony releases an update then someone will make a spoof/new CFW that will make it where PSN is available again.
Most people like Rebug 4.30 and Rogero 4.40 spoofed to 4.41.

Yes you can. Just install Rebug 4.41.2 from XMB on top of OFW 3.55 by following the guide below:

1- Install Rebug 4.41.2 from XMB:
Download Rebug 4.41.2 from Rebug's website, verify the md5 hash, rename the PUP to PS3UPDAT.PUP, put it on your FAT32 formatted flash drive in PS3\UPDATE, go to System Update and Update via Storage Media. Make sure there's NO original game disk in the drive and that you DON'T Update via Internet or else you would risk installing OFW higher than 3.55!

2- Enable QA:
Go to Package Manager > Install Package Files > PS3 Hard Disk and install Rebug Toolbox. Launch it under the Game column, go to Utilities and change Toggle QA Flag to Enabled. This is to ensure easier and safer downgrading.
