(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So, heres what happened. My ps3 runs quite hot sometimes so I decided to install Fan Control Utility, however when I put it in mode 2 and changed it to the values I wanted the system just turned off with a flashing red light so I pressed it twice and it turned on and the values I chose did not stick, now heres the problem I don't know what it has done but when I'm playing a game a message come up saying the system is running hot and the fans turn on at full speed. How can I make the values stick or just return it back to normal?

Awnswered; Thanks Pseudo_Soldier

try this: go into recovery mode and and choose restore database, that should restore the value to default

Well I did it but my fans seem really weak I can barely feel them blowing I'll monitor the temperature for a bit.

EDIT: Still getting hot, CPU 80 degrees RSX 60

try hard reseting it (unplug it from the wall for a few minutes)

I'll set it to syscon mode in fan control utility, restore file system, rebuild database and then hard reset.

This is a known glitch, run ANY app like Rebug Toolbox then simply close that app then load Fan Utility and set the speed then exit. It won't fail then.

I did that it worked and sent me back to the xmb, but is there anyway to make it stay even after a reboot or must i set it everytime I turn it on?
