now I live in USA.. all my games are from USA.. i have Game Genie FOR USA.. now..i Need to use the max money cheat for assassins creed 3..BUT.. when i open it via game genie..its highlighted in red and doesnt open.. which i think is because the file is BLES and not BLUS.

Now.. I thought I could convert my BLES into BLUS, use the game genie on that file.. then convert the BLUS file back to BLES again and carry on my game.. I used HXD.. changed BLES01667 to BLUS30991..for BOTH the folder AND the PARAM.SFO..did the game genie magic.. then again converted the file to BLES01667. Now when I try to copy the file into my ps3 its giving me an error saying "the data is corrupted. (8001051C)."

please help me, suggest me what should I do????????

dont use HXD
use a real pram editer.

which one? could you please suggest me.. I just watched a youtube video where the person used HXD.. this is the first time i used all this.. Please suggest me the program i should be using..and if its not too much trouble.. do let me know what to do..

either just get the param.sfo editer or get the whole collection
search for PARAM.SFO editor on the site
or for PS3 Tools Collection 2.3.10

I did.. I opened PARAM SFO editor from the tools.. opened the BLES folder n chose the sfo file.. upon loading it.. i changed bles to blus30991, and saved it. then i changed the folder name as well.. but my gamegenie didint recognize my file as BLUS. it still is highlighted red.

you have to find the blus numbers for the BLUS version
you just cant take BLES30991 change the bles to BLUS and think it'll work....

also it might not work at all because offsets can change from regions. make 2 saves.
one with a random amount of money. (the higher the better) then spend it (the lower the better) submit the saves to the gamegenie people and hope they find the address.
or you can use something like hxd to compare (very manual process) each value of your money IN HEX in 1 save then check the other save and see if its that value your money changed to IN HEX
boom you have your address. change the hex values to something higher. depending on the money byte. 0F - 0F000000
also take your address for money and check if its its higher or lower then the address for the other game. minus the smaller one from the bigger and theres your cheat offset. take any blus cheats and add or minus your offer and thats the address for that cheat on your regions.

well the game genie people have the cheat for both EU version (BLES) and US version (BLUS). I have the US version of Game genie..which only puts in cheats for US versions of games (BLUS). they have a separate version of Game Genie for EU region which gives cheats for EU games (BLES).

MY game save, which is an EU game save cannot be edited with game genie because my game genie only edits BLUS games.

now I did change the param.sfo(BLES) with hex and converted it to BLUS.. used the game genie and used the cheat. now if i load that file it would load..but wouldnt work with my assassins creed game on my ps3. so in order for it to work.. i have to convert it BACK to BLES..which I did again.. using the HXD. then i loaded it up in my flash drive..inserted in my ps3..it wouldnt show a corrupted file..i was happy.. i loaded it..and while loading it stopped and read "the data is corrupted. (8001051C)."

You then suggested me to edit the param with a PARAM editor. which i did..i downloaded PS3 tools and there i found the PARAM sfo editor. i opened it up.. loaded my BLES file. and under save directory it said BLES01667AC3AC3_0. changed it to BLUS30991AC3AC3_0 and pressed save. This time.. my game genie didnt even open the assassins creed file. last time.. i was at least able to edit it..this time i wasn't able to do anything..

NOW... suggest what should I do.
