i have a ps3 with the 3.30 firmware currently installed and i would like to know how to remarry the bluray drive to the motherboard because i am new to this stuff and i have a guide but it says something about a dongle and i dont know how to do that or whatever it needs me to do so could someone help me out

(i bought a broken cechl01 ps3 off ebay and replaced the motherboard, currently talking to the seller about the logic board from the motherboard of which is working)

Well if you're on 3.30, update to 3.55 CFW and then install "Factory Service Mode v0.2". "This tools is an XMB application that places the PS3 into factory service mode. A downgrade dongle is not required anymore."

Follow direction you should be fine. Make sure to run a Blu-ray movie before getting out of FSM.

what if i dont have a blu ray movie... can i use a game? i will try now i post in a bit

Never tried with a ps3 game but I've seen video were a guy uses a game instead of movie.

I would do it with a movie cause that is how I did mine successfully.
