And I was wondering if there is a way to jailbreak directly from 3.73 or if there is any way to downgrade to 3.55 from 3.73 to be able to jailbreak it.

Your help will mean the world to me. I gave up when my ps3 got bricked, but I feel like modding again for the greater good to help out friends in the NGU Community.
