You don't need a blu-ray to downgrade with e3 flasher. Some games due require a blu-ray disc to run, like COD BO. I have don't have a blu-ray drive I can use RTM on COD BOII.

Yeah, you can buy another blu-ray drive. But, since you have a CECH2001a you gonna have to remarry the drive to the ps3.
Past models require you to remarry the drive to the ps3.

Nope either a E3 flasher or progskeet.
And btw cech2001a is a motherfucker to downgrade using an e3 flasher. It is due-able but really fucking annoying.
There are clips that you can attach on to the NOR chip or you might have to solder it to the ps3. It's like a transmission on a car either you can have an automatic (attach clip) or manual (solder). The choice is yours =)

well hopefully i can do it with the clip then so i dont have to solder it to the ps3 cause i suck at soldering

you should be fine with an e3 flasher i downgrade 2001a all the time no problem
