I went on Rebug Toolbox and change the XMB operation mode to Retail and the Debug Menu Type to CEX QA
It said I had to restart and it did.
It booted up with a red screen saying in various languages, ''A big error has occurred, Contact technical Support for Assistance.''
I am really in need of help of how to FIX my PS3.
I'm from U.K. if anyone will need to open the PS3 or use a Jig.

I dont think either of these will work as they're based on CEX^ and when I go in Recovery Menu, every other option works but carry on loading....

PROBLEM :System update freezes when I press X on it so I CAN'T do that . Anyone know a way of getting back to CEX or any method of getting my PS3 out of RSOD on DEX please quote me, Thank You.

Try this:
Download this file and put it on the root of a USB - You must login or register to view this content.
Put the USB in the far right port and boot up your PS3
This should force your PS3 into FSM (factory service mode). Then try swapping your flash first or installing a new CFW.

im 99% sure you need a dongle with the fsm payload on to get into factory mode...? ive been doing alot of research recently on bricks as ive managed to totally screw my ps3 up by simply installing a spoofer, now my ps3 boot or do anything. its annoying me ive spent hour upon hour trying to figure out a solution, also whilst researching the error.

How is that possible if it freezes on system update?
Even if I don't have no USB drive connected to my PS3, It still freezes when i press X on system update

didnt read all of your post, i guess your the guy of skype then? try one of the other 2 tutorials then, but for one of them you will need a dongle, doesnt matter what dongle, i would probably say teensy ++ 2.0 you could probably get one for like £1-£2 / $3 and then put fsm payload on, the payload can easily be found by a simple search and to put the payload on the board you will need some software applicable for the board (this can be found on the web).

I got 2 PS Jailbreak Dongles. Will that work? Also how if yes?
