Yeah you need a working blu-ray in order to get out off this. I had the same problem and once I got the Blu-ray to work, I was able to install a different firmware.

can u help me my find a ps3 bluray all the blurays i find are not compatible i have a weird bluray the model of the ps3 is CECHL01

if your on 3.55 try installing 3.55 ofw. ONLY DO THIS IF YOU ARE ON 3.55 do not install any other ofw than 3.55

i cant install 3.55 ofw cuz im dex ima try to install 3.55 dex ofw
