(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi I am wanting to convert to dex im up to the step on DerekTrotter's Guide where it has put the eid_key_file.bin into the folder on my pc that has c2d in it so I do then I add the other file to the folder called flashCEX.bin and then open up cmd on my win7 and change directory in CMD to c:\c2d> and type c:\c2d>c2d.exe eid_key_file.bin in_flash.bin out_flash.bin 89 (89 is Australia where I am) then hit enter and I get this error " Wrong format of EID key file: 48 bytes or 256kb expected, but -1 found" Please Help im not sure what I have to do here to fix this problem

hi thankyou for suggesting that fix....But I did as you said and followed the tutorial but when I went to ctrl panel > Folders > View > my option to hide Known file extensions was already unchecked. ???? Please any more suggestions would be great
im still getting the same error when using c2d and the properties of the file does say flashCEX(.bin)(.bin) but as stated my option to uncheck the known file types is unchecked I also tried doing it then apply then again and uncheck and apply to all folders but it still is not helping the c2d program as the extensions are still in double so please help

You need to remove one .bin. The file needs to be flashCEX.bin and not flashCEX.bin.bin. That is the problem you are encountering.
The reason why you unchecked the show hidden extension is to show you the .bin at the end of the flashCEX.bin
People add an extra .bin, which is incorrect and you get the error.

"Now if you go to your c2d folder with flashCEX.bin & eid_root_key.bin , the files will have .bin.bin on it. Just rename them each to have one .bin extension. Now go to your command window & re-do the process! "

Hi I have unchecked the HIDE FILE EXTENSION FOR KNOWN FILE TYPES and I still get on file properties of flashCEX.bin the property details say flashCEX(.bin)(.bin) and when I rename the title file to flashCEX with no extension it says file in type instead of .bin please guide me im doing everythin your saying but

is there anything else I can use instead of
c2d ? as I cannot get my eid_root_key.bin to work. it PLEASE
