Yeah man you got a road ahead of you if your wanting to downgrade that system... Unfortunately. But it can be done. First thing you need to look into is a E3 Flasher. That will allow you to flash back to 3.55. Tutorials all over the place that explains that. You can do that or you could take my advice. Sell that system and buy one that is already on 3.55 FW. Game stores are flooded with used consoles right now because of holidays and also the release on the next generation consoles. One of those used systems are a 99% guarantee to have 3.55 fw on them. Or you could look into the e3 flasher which is approximately 50-70$. Good luck bro and let me know if you have any other questions.

I highly and I mean highly doubt that. Should be 99% of them will be above 3.55 and 1% chance might be 3.55 below

I would make sure to find out that your current PS3 model is able to be downgraded first. Google e3 flasher compatibility chart.
It doesn't matter if you're on the latest firmware, 4.50. What matter is what PS3 model you have!!!!!

Do you recommend to get another system or no? I'm all fine with downgrading my current Ps3 as I'll get a Ps4 soon so losing my Ps3 is the least of my worries, I just don't want to have any complications, you know? Thank you for the help my model is CECH 2101.

I'm confused on what I need to buy if I'm going to flash to downgrade. Can you list exactly what I will need, do I just need the chip and the Flasher, not the whole box set? As for the MicroSD card too, a tad bit confused. I'm questioning a lot because I don't want to buy the wrong thing.

Well you need some tools to open up the PS3. Precision screwdrivers and a torx screwdriver

The e3 flasher with the ribbon clip
Micro SD card
Micro SD USB adapter
Tape

You don't need the esata station nor the FSM dongle anymore.
