(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok so i have a jailbroken ps3 and it only has around 35gb & i cant really download any games that i just recently bought from the ps store because i dont have any space for all of them, so if i take out the hard drive and replace it with one that i have on another ps3 that has more space does it restore my ps3 back to its original state or do i still keep my jailbreak? someone please help. Thank you.

No you won't lose your jailbreak ,
after you swap the hard drive the PS3 will reformat it, once that is done just reinstall the same CFW you was on,

i just did the swap right now and it says "cannot start. the appropriate system storage was not found."

I've never had an issue with swapping out HDD with a CFW higher than 3.55.

It is true, you will need to reformat the HDD and install the same CFW your PS3 is currently on.

"cannot start. the appropriate system storage was not found."
The error is because the HDD is not fully pushed into the HDD port. Or your HDD is faulty or just not working.

WAS THERE a Disc in the ps3? that was probably it. If The PS3UPDAT was Clean, then you prob left a Disc in the ps3

True what tunde1992 said. Was there a disc on the drive?
Swapping the HDD will not install OFW. Somewhere somehow you installed OFW on the PS3. I did state previously "you will need to reformat the HDD and install the same CFW your PS3 is currently on." Did you download the correct CFW?
