I believe that it is not possible unless you have a CFW (Modded) Playstation.

I'm advanced with computers/networking. I've downgraded my PS3 and decided to start looking into the Jailbreaking scene. It just seems to complicated for me. I don't like learning new things. I just like pursuing the things I already know. Maybe your different. Anyone can do it. Depending if you want to run a more advanced set up (DEX) or not. Good luck.
