Post: Will the PS3 recognize a Dual HDD dock with 2 separate drives?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I am wondering if the PS3 will recognize a Dual 2.5/3.5 Hard Drive dock....either through the front USB port or through the Sata by using an EZ flash card instead of the internal hdd.

Attached a pictured of the dock im hoping to use.

Can be connected by usb or esata and has separate power supply - does not rely on host.

Will it recognize both drives on dock as mass storage through USB? Will it recognize them separately?

Is this possible....

1TB Internal Fat32 HDD
2 Separate 1TB Fat32 HDD in dock plugged into USB port on PS3

What would happen if the dock with 2 separate 1TB Fat32 drives is plugged into PS3 sata with EZ flash card instead of Internal HDD?

Any knowledge or suggestions would be appreciated. Smile

i don't see why it wouldn't because if you can plug a portable hdd in and use that it's kind of the same usb slot should work Smile

Lol...did u just link me to a webpage that instructs you how to format and plug in an external hard drive? Facepalm

Im not asking how to plug in or format a hard drive.....

Im asking if the ps3 will recognize a dual or hell for that matter a dual or a quad hard drive dock station plugged into the USB and distinguish each drive separately on the xmb.....

And I was also asking how the ps3 would respond to having a dual hard drive station with 2 SEPARATE drives plugged into the esata port in place of the internal.....
