(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey, thanks for opening. Anyway i have a fat ps3 console that is at 3.55 or below and i know you need that to jailbreak. But i also have a fat ps3 up to date fully. i want to jailbreak the second one, but that one's disc tray doesn't work. Is that going to be a problem? I use to do this but i stopped when they patched 3.55. But i wanna restart and would like someone to guide or help me walk through with it? Please and thanks! -Mostdopegoblin

Also i was looking at "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Hacking the Playstation 3 for Beginners" and it seems straight forward but i dunno want to mess up and waist a good 3.55 ps3.

The fat ps3 that is fully updated cant be downgraded unless you have a E3 flasher. But the ps3 that have the 3.55 or below can automatically be updated to a CFW. Search for 4.50 Rogero v1.01 CFW if u want to RTE games or 4.55 Rogero v1.00 CFW and u will be fine. Also having a broken blueray drive won't really be a problem unless a certain backup requires a disk. Download the latest MultiMan for your backups. You can also get on psn but it is not recommended. To get on psn for 4.50 Rogero v1.01 download the latest SEN Enabler pkg and install it to the ps3. It will have a 4.55 spoof inside the app. Now if u want to get online with a reduced risk of ban, NEVER sign in automatically or just sign in, always run MultiMan to choose your backups, SEN enabler and Delete recent history and remove syscall before you sign in. Hopes this helps.
