Post: PS3 CECHL01 False Overheating

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi my cechl01 is blowing out cool air out the back but my ps3 says its overheating and I should wait a while before turning on can some please help. :RTS::RTS:

is it a FAT or Slim? CEX OR DEX?

It should be blowing out warm air out the back not cold air if its blowing out cold air the thermal paste is needing changed as the cooling systems not lifting the heat out the ps3 from the cpu and rsx so yes your ps3 is over heating i highly recommend you not to use it untill you have changed the thermal paste search on amazon for arctic mx-2 or mx-4 thermal paste and youtube how to apply it if unsure or give me a pm for links if your finding it hard hope i have helped.

I used artic silver high density polysynthetic silver thermal compound and i put on 3.5 grams on it

Well maybe its dryed up under the heat spreaders or your not applying correctly.

Well theirs definitely an cpu or rsx problem it may be dryed up under the heat spreaders then.

Mine isnt i think at least because i took it apart today any other solutions
