I didn't understand you much but if you enter Multiman and get a blackscreen that means multiman isn't compatible with your firmware maybe you installed DEX multiman for CEX CFW or the opposite however make sure you install it with the corresponding firmware. If you enter Backup-ed games and you get a black screen then you should go to multiman and go to that game Press Square [ ] (game settings) and make sure to tick the BD Mirror. That happened to me in MW3. Hope I helped you out .

you could have a bad bluray but I doubt ityou may want to try downgrading back to 3.55 and then going back up to the firmware you were on. the reason I say this way is because sometimes there can become serious corruption in the firmware and by downgrading and upgrading it saves you from having to do a complete reformatting and then losing everything... if you want to you can add me on Skype and I can walk you thru the whole process it shouldn't take more than a half hour to do and I got all the files on hand... Or you can pay for a service from me and ship the ps3 thru ebay. what model and firmware are you on as well and what type or model is yours...
