(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello guys Lloyd here,

I was working on my buddy's CECH-2001A yesterday, his BD wasn't functional so I went ahead and gave him an extra I had and said that I would install as well. Not knowing that I had to REMARRY, I come to find non of the APPS work and would only go to black screen.

-I did the steps of REMARRY by following this guide : You must login or register to view this content.

He was on 4.55 Rogero so of course I downgraded to 3.55 with this guide :

You must login or register to view this content.

Then after the process, I reset the system. Now when I turn her on, I get no HDD activity.. GREEN LIGHT that stays
solid, PS3 stays on.

CANNOT go into FSM by holding, then holding 2 beeps etc.. Only way to turn off is by actually holding the power.

-I've followed these guides in desperation of help.

You must login or register to view this content.

-And I've looked at these threads on the matter, along with a dozen other pages that just said the same thing.
I'm stumped and Now I'm actually gonna ask for some help/advice from the all knowing.

Hmm that's quite unfortunate predicament you've done for your friend's ps3.

The rogero downgrade process i'm reading, did you after on the rogero downgrader use qa_flag.pkg/dehashing step ? & after via recovery menu install 3.55 OFW, kmeaw 3.55 or Rogero 3.55 cfw v3.7 pup? Or on the Rogero downgrader firmware you attempted the blu-ray remarry?

Either way i think you may have soft-bricked the PS3 somehow, or a unfortunate + coincidental timing of a real GLOD (Green Light of Death) fault has happened. RSX chip overheated & thus no tv/video output display.

Yes sir, I'm positive I did the steps all correctly. His QA was already enabled, but of course I checked by...

Network Settings > L1 L2 L3 R1 R2 down > And of course debug settings EZ fiewer? and something else popped up.
Verifiying that I did infact toggle QA on.

I made sure to get to 3.7v pup. BUT didn't work, SO i tried it again on 3.55 OFW then bam..

Quote me next time please (so i get a PM notice) as i didn't know that you replied.. Anyway, it sounds then like an unfortunate GLOD if the PS3 is fat/phat model i'm guessing.

I personally have experience with a GLOD faulted PS3, & i can tell you that, the RSX/VGA chip inside the PS3 has overheated & to fix needs to be professionally reballed & reflowed back to the PS3's motherboard. And i don't recommend doing nooby heat gun way as that can mess up the console permanently

It's 2:30 am here where i am sorry if im not much informative, but i remember luckily i've written & talked about this in another thread that person had same GLOD PS3 issue like you, +linked with a temp solution/fix that may possible work ->You must login or register to view this content.
