Post: So what's next after 3.55 OFW?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I've looked around on a lot of guides and I still don't really understand this part of the process. I really don't wanna move to fast and fuck something up.

Let's say I'm on 3.55 OFW, can I then jump on the 4.55 Rogero bandwagon?
Or do I have to install a 3.55 CFW first, and then update it to the latest version?

And can I install any CFW from any CFW? Lets say for example, installing Rebug 4.50 from Kmeaw 3.70? Or do I have to downgrade back to 3.55 OFW/CFW to switch custom firmwares?

Thanks guys this forum is really helping me out, and sorry for the noob questions haha.

If you are going from one CFW to another you always wanna go back to 3.55 ofw. If you don't,You can brick your ps3. After you get on 3.55 OFW you can install any CFW you want. Just make sure they are legit and read about them because some have a risk of bricking. (y)

+1 what .Vanz says. Only download/use CFW from trusted & reputable CFW devs. like Habib, Rogero, and Rebug Team.

And stay away/don't ever use brickware CFWs from RetroA, Hishamage and or SGK. <- Avoid & add them to your blacklist.

Ok thanks that makes sense. And yeah I was thinking of converting to DEX after I get the swing of things.
