(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I can't transfer games using an ftp service or my flash drive. It will not let me copy files to the "GAMEZ" folder. It says cannot access or failed to transfer or something like that. It worked fine 2 days ago and now all of sudden it stopped working. I recently put a new harddrive in. Does that make a difference?

Perhaps something files maybe corrupted.. Have you tried Recovery Menu options "3. Restore File System" and or "4. Rebuild Database" ?
Worth a shot. If none make a difference, then may i suggest backing up your important data, pictures, videos, games, saves etc. Anything you don't want to lose..

And from the XMB home menu, go to You must login or register to view this content. Settings icon (Settings) > You must login or register to view this content. System Settings icon (System Settings) > [Restore Default Settings].
You must login or register to view this content.
And or below option [Restore PS3 system] which'll basically format & do the default settings wipe.

If somehow still none above solutions don't work.. The take/eject ps3 game disc out (if one's inside Bluray drive) & on USB stick reinstall same CFW that's on the system from Safe Mode/Recovery Menu i recommend.

Edit: i see from you sig that your PS3's on "PS3ITA 4.50 DEX" so if somehow surprisingly none of the above fixes i have stated solve the issues. Then update/install latest ITA that came out today: CFW PS3ITA 4.55 DEX -> You must login or register to view this content.

BTW i'm wondering, what CFW is your PS3 on?

I really appreciate it! I decided to just go back to my other hard drive. I'll keep this for future reference. Also, I'm on PS3ita 4.50.

What homebrew app are you using to FTP?
Also I would suggest using GAMES and running mM instead of ITA Manager. Much better Smile

I'm using mM for FTP. Then I use filezilla on my computer. Also, your saying I need to create a folder called "GAMES" in my Dev_hdd0?

If you use mM yes just change GAMEZ to GAMES so mM will read it.
Try using rebug toolbox as an FTP server. Just load it up and then on the client just type the ip nd connect. Then try to transfer the game

I had this problem not too long ago. There is a problem sending the filed from the GAMEZ to the hdd so you can load games. So just change the directory settings from GAMEZ to GAMES so they can load successfully.
