(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Here's the situation: whenever I put the discs for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 into my PS3 Slim, the inital animated logos begin to play as normal on startup, but then they stop, the screen turns black and I am returned to the main Playstation menu. Other games that I play like Motorstorm, Assassin's Creed and Modern Warfare 3 all work perfectly.

The games load as they should when the PS3 has no internet connection, but when I plug it back in to play online, the game returns to the main menu screen once again or crashes altogether. I took the games home last weekend to play on my dad's PS3 there and they worked fine. When I returned, MW2 worked for a day or two and then it went back to stopping on startup.

I have no idea what the cause of this problem could be, and it isn't one I have seen elsewhere when searching the internet for solutions, so I eagerly await some responses that could help me fix it.

To fix your problem. Go to debug settings and set your boot mode to Release mode
