I scrolled all the way down and found DEX Official Firmware Download Links:

I clicked on that and had a bunch of download links pop up.
I went all the way down to number 56 and downloaded that

I then went throiugh the process on my USB.. PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP

I loaded it on my ps3 and upgraded. My ps3 finished installing and went to a black screen

Everytime i turn it on it turns off by itself. After it turns off by itself for the first time, the red light disappears from the power button. I then have to press the turn on button twice just to get it to go on again. Its shuts off by itself again. If i unplug the ps3, then then plug it back it, i get the red button ontop of the ps3, and the process repaeats. Turns off when i turn on, then have to press power button teice for it to turn on, then off

I tried getting into recovery mode, but it just turns off....

I realized now i downloaded the DEX official firmware link, and i guess not the actuall dex firmware... Please help

You are probably going to need to re flash sounds like a brick to me.

Did you try to put it in safe mode try that and go from there but I agree it's sounds like a brick

Well let's hope it's only a soft brick, otherwise you'll need an E3 flasher to fix it.

Go into recovery mode and update using 999 downgrader. Let's see if that works

I cant get into recovery mode, it turns off...

Sounds like a hard brick to me if you can not get into recovery. You are going to need an e3 flasher to fix it. If you have one laying around its easy to fix

That's a hardbrick. You will need to purchase an E3 Flasher. I suggest Amazon

e3 flasher? i was gonna do that but i saw an article saying i need my nand/nor keys. I dumped them, and cant get them back when i switched to DEX. Im buying another ps3.
