(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So my jailbroken ps3 has a hard time reading disk's. For example I'll use bo1. My regular ps3 can read the disk fine but when I put it in my jailbroken ps3 it doesn't work. Ik the drive works because I can hear it spin and I see the indicator on the xmb screen. To get the disk to work I have to wash the disk with soap and water then dry it off. I've already restored the file system and I also rebuilt the data base. Is my lense maybe dirty or just dying on me? If anyone can help, thanks in advance.

You need to buy a new lazer.

It still works though. It just takes longer for it read. I play most of my games of a external hdd so it doesn't really bother me

Yeah that's defo the laser. It happened to me you can just get one and replace it yourself. I've changed 50+ lasers

Before you spend your hard earned money on a replacement.
Try opening it up and clean the lens bro.
Qtip and alcohol.
Lightly touch the lens and clean it
I had this issue before where the disc would spin just not read. I cleaned the lens and presto it started to read =0)
It is possible that dust and dirt is prohibiting the lens to do it job.
If that fails then you definitely know that you need a replacement
good luck bro

Can I buy a disk that's cleans the lens? I worked a lot for this ps3 and normally my luck with opening things and tinkering with them too much will lead to more problems.
