You can buy a ps3 on 3.55 if you go to ebay and type in ps3 3.55 i paid £125 for mine about 2 months ago, there is tutorials on how to install e3 flasher but you have to take your ps3 apart, also read tutorials carefully on how to jail break as you can brick your ps3 if it goes wrong, Try and see if someone can help you via skype and team viewer, it also depends on what cfw youbwant on your ps3 aswel alot of people prefer dex, people on dex can use cex and dex tools and cex can only use cex tools cant use dex.

Getting a Ps3 that is already on 3.55 will save you a lot of time man! If you want to downgrade the Ps3 you will need an E3 flasher, however not all Ps3's can be downgraded.
