(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok so I have a Ps3 2001A 4.60OFW. I have my e3 flasher installed. I updated the e3 flasher with an update .bin that people said worked for 4.60. I tried to back up and I keep getting the 01000110 Error code. The e3 clip is all the way flush up against the motherboard. The e3 flasher lights up fine. I have tried putting aton of different amounts of pressure on the clip.
Things I have tried:
Cleaning the chip and clip with 100% isopyrol Rubbing alcohol
Scrubbing the chip and clip with a toothbrush
Pushing on the Chip manually
Taping the chip
Using coins for pressure on the clip
Using a God Damn C clamp on the clip
Ordering a New Fucking Clip.
A different SD card
Pushing the SD card(More Pressure)
3 Different Update.bin's

At this point I don't think its a pressure issue. But this thing is pissing me off and I have been wrong on everything I thought was wrong Before. Please help me!

these model can be a pain

please try this

remove the clip
and now take a good look at your NOR chip
and near it you will see resistors
place the clip first where the resistor is closest to the chip then secure the chip

look at the pics

Resistors look like: You must login or register to view this content.
clip on this side first :You must login or register to view this content.
The purple arrow indicates where exactly you should put the clip on first
in the end the clip should look like this:You must login or register to view this content.

use a c clamp to clamp the nor chip fully down so it wont move.

""""I keep getting the 01000110 Error code"""

dont think thats a correct error code??
And any error that starts with 0 is sd card related im pretty sure.
