Okay, i've seen multiple of the same questions in this section recently and i've decided to make this thread as a reference to users that have the same question that the last person had. This is to prevent spam of the same question over and over and to keep the section more clean. If you have any recommendations for questions that should be added, leave a reply below.

How do I Real Time Mod?

This question is actually asked daily. Real Time Modding is a form of modifying a game in terms of "Real Time". This can be done within a Mod Menu or a Program/Tool. In order to Real Time Mod a game, you need to be using one of the two API Selections, Control Console API ( CEX and DEX ) or Target Manager API ( DEX ). If you are using Control Console API, then you need to install both the pkg to your PS3 and the .exe to your Computer. With Control Console, not only will it allow you to Real Time Mod on CEX, it allows you to manage your PlayStation 3 Console as well. Target Manager does the exact same thing, but in a more advanced way so to speak. You can find a link to both Target Manager and Control Console API below.

How do I get online with my Custom Firmware?

Bans. Suspensions. Console ID's. Accounts. These are all things related to your online gaming experience with your Custom Firmware PS3 Console. If your Console ID is banned, then you are banned and you cannot get online. So to answer this question of "How do I get online with my Custom Firmware" the answer is simple, make sure you have a working Console ID. If yours is banned, then you're going to need to purchase another one or use public ID's ( not recommended ). Keep in mind that Console ID's are not to be sold or bought here on Next Gen Update, therefore you will have to find another source for that matter. If your account is banned from PlayStation Network, simply create a new account. If you are suspended from PlayStation Network, then you can choose to wait it out, or simply create another account for the time being.

How do I fix DNS Error 80710102? I can't get online!

This is simple. It's a DNS error, and it even happens to Official Firmware users sometimes. This is a DNS error and as it states, you will have to edit your DNS to fix the problem. So, when you go to set up a connection, you need to choose 'Custom' when it prompts you to custom or manual DNS, choose custom. Enter the following.

Primary: 129.250.35.250
Secondary: 129.250.35.251

After that has been done, Test your connection and you should be able to return to your normal Online Gaming Experience.

How do I FTP?

FTP is essential to most modders of the PlayStation 3 Console. FTP allows you to edit most of your Console Options and customize things to your liking. It also allows you to switch out EBOOTS for all of the new popular games that have multiple EBOOTS with modifications, as well as Patches for the old games such as MW2, COD4, W@W... You can download a FTP Client to your computer, or if you're new to these things, I would recommend Comgenies Awesome File Manager which is an FTP HomeBrew Application. Can I jailbreak 4.60 OFW?

The answer is no. There will not be any Jailbreak past 3.55. You must downgrade via hardware to version 3.55 in order to successfully jailbreak your console. If not, it will not work. So don't try it.
