You do not need a flasher for this tutorial however the previous only applies if your already on CFW if not then you will need one but im writing this tutorial with the assumption you already have Downgraded and are on CFW.

1. Google this "Rebug 999 Downgrader"

2. Download the 999 Downgrader

3. Once that's downloaded Make a folder on your USB Drive called PS3 then --> UPDATE now copy the 999 downgrader which should show up as 3.55.4 into the UPDATE folder so it should look like this whenever your done PS3-->UPDATE--->3.55.4 now rename the file to PS3UPDAT.PUP

but said go to network dont click . do a command like examp x,0 it will show the package file. then intall Qa

4. Go over to your PS3 and go to Rebug Toolbox and enable Toggle qa

5. Now make sure you don't have any PS3 Discs in your PS3 and disable Networking for now

6. Go to System Update then put your USB Drive with the 999 Downgrader in the Right Slot on the PS3

7. Now select Update Via Storage Media

8. Your PS3 will now downgrade to 3.55 this is useful in case you ever want to install Otheros++ aka (Linux)
or if there is a specific homebrew you want to try that's only on 3.55

9. To upgrade back to the CFW that you were on just simply insert a USB Drive with your CFW i.e. Rogero 4.46

As i said this tutorial will only work for people who are already on CFW
