He was in recovery when it was freezing... Reinstall your cfw through recovery and it should fix your problem

How do you re-install your CFW if it keeps freezing?

Hmmm I'm not that experienced so have you tried to get in touch with someone who has been modding for a couple of years?

It is a slim, I must've downloaded a bad pkg file, what do I do? When i go into safe mode, and plug my USB with cfw onto it. I try to download it and it says it is corrupted, should I try to go back to 3.55 ofw or go back to latest firmware and downgrade?

I was on 4.46.1 rebug, but spoofed to 4.60. It's probably screwed at the moment because it's got ylod, I believe that is the thermal paste's problem, because the ylod started to happen AFTER i took the ps3 apart. After i receive the thermal paste tonight i will know if it's toast or not.

EDIT: Put on new thermal paste, fixed ylod, turned system on and still is freezing, should i download 4.60 ofw or 4.65 ofw and then flash then downgrade? i'm not sure what to do beyond this point
