I have searched and tried everything. can someone help please ? Is it even possible ?
If you don't know what I mean, instead ofFTP'ing the games onto my ps3's HDD i put the games onto my portable hard drive and play them off of there.

You need to wipe it using your pc (Disk Management) and after that, format it to FAT32 using a FAT32 formatter before you can use it for games on your ps3.

I've done that, the games just won't load or show up.

is it external or internal hdd?

Create a folder called ROMS and put all the games u want inside , add me on skype & later I'll give u a quick tut cuz I need to go to school xd
