i highly doubt cex has any pro over dex..almost all the things cex can do dex also can do infact better..someone can correct me if i m wrong though !

Cex is easier for beginners but it cant do much.
Dex is more complex and its very easy to fuck up your PS3. Its recommended to people who know what they are doing

Honestly the only major differences is that with DEX you get access to all the debug settings and can use ProDG.

CEX is just a safe route because no one needs to worry about extra settings they can basically get it and use it its that simple.



With either DEX or CEX there is no difference in the ability to brick the console. If you enable writing to the flash you can do damage that can cause it to brick and this applies to both.

But if your referring to the conversion from CEX - DEX and back then yes there is a little more element to bricking the console but not a major one because if you follow guides to the letter then there is no issue.

I myself have swapped between CEX & DEX now plenty of times and have come across 1 problem and that is it and that was due to a bad dump when downgrading from OFW to CFW.

As I said the risk for bricking is the same if you are on CEX or DEX all it takes is someone to not know what they are doing and then they brick it.
