you can use multiman to update games or what i usually do is the game has an update just update like normal (when you start a game press x to update) should work most of the time

Once finished downloading transfer the multiman.pkg to a USB stick and plug the USB stick into your playstation go to install package files and run the multiman.pkg once finished installing open up multiman then put the game you wish to update in your playstation hover over that game in multiman and press triangle now you should a list of options to the right one of them should be "Update" hit X on that and let multiman download the updates for you. once finished multiman will ask you if you wish to go to install package files and install the updates press yes then simply install the updates.

I have multiman already, my point was that do i get banned for updating game(s) normally by going to play game and hitting that X to update while im online but i look that multiman game update thingy and see if it helps.
