The issue which has been persistent for a couple months now is that my PS3 does not work how it should when It's on DEX. I'm on Rebug 4.46 and when in DEX, it thinks it's in cobra, MultiMan re-names itself to cmM or something similar, my ps3 doesn't read any disks and does not allow me to sign in.

This problem occurred after my ps3 crashed after rebooting it through Target Manager.

Right now I'm on CEX, but I really want to be on DEX.. I've attempted downgrading to OFW 3.55 then went to 3.55 KMEAW and back up to Rebug 4.46 D-REX, but unfortunately the same issues occurs.

If anyone can decipher this fuckery, you will be thanked.. Greatly...

Edit: Just to note, DEX was working for a while, after the crash I got this problem

I had similiar issues with one of my ps3s i got it working in the end im gonna try remembering the steps i did,

First
did you by any chance use idrisman or other backup manager besides multiman, just check in setting what mode is it set to ''cobra/discless mode'' change it to other option

It's not just multiman that messed up, The whole system breaks when on DEX multiman is fine when I'm on CEX as well..

My ps3 thinks it's on cobra firmware when I convert to DEX, apps such as multiman breaks, as well as the ps3 in general :/

Note: I've never installed Cobra firmware previously.

when on dex run multiman and it mentions restart system with cobra dongle something similar in them lines
Can you explain more in depth of what is exact problems when in dex too of breaks because your problem might be different to mine one

It does mention something about a cobra dongle, that sounds familiar, but it can't just be multiman that is the cause? Can it?

I'll try your previous methods out, but I'm not too sure where the cobra/discless mode setting can be found.

mine occurred when i used idrisman and changed bdemu to cobra mode so can use discless mode

The issue you seem to be ignoring is that my problem is not multiman/psita/irismanager.

My PS3 cannot read any original disks while it is on DEX, but it is completely fine on CEX...

I don't know why I am receiving this issue, its also very hard to explain in detail, because that is simply the issue.. My ps3 works fine on CEX, but on DEX everything (Literally everything - cannot sign in, does not read any disks, programs crash, everything) breaks.

I would like to stay on DEX (because it's awesome) but I have been forced to stay on CEX because of this issue..

DEX was working for me at one point as I previously noted, this issue started when my ps3 froze after I clicked 'Reboot' in Target Manager

ignoring? i don't recall you mentioning any the above in your previous posts, you should not reset your ps3 in target because it might lead to problems sometimes it can accidentally happen pressing on a not intended button or feature enabled.

It helps you and anyone willing to give up the spare time to help you by giving as much detail as possible

dunno why it didn't work for you in my previous posts (method) which has helped few guys on here and other sites you ps3. there are other ways....
