But that isn't how it happened this time. Instead of taking me to the XMB Menu a message pops up:
"The file system is corrupted and will be restored"

I clicked "Ok" for that being the only option I had and when it was completed it had only taking me to a black screen instead of restarting...

The same thing happened on all attempts I had tried. At this point, I resorted to looking up this problem. However, all the YT Videos I came across said the worst possible thing. They all said that the hard drive, and all the data on it, is done for. They said that the only way to fix the hard drive would be to reformat it..... Which would mean me loosing my cfw jailbrake..

Is there anyway to fix this problem??

goto recovery mode
You must login or register to view this content.
Rebuild Database
and Restore System Files

if fail then Restore Ps3 System

if still fail then change hard drive and reinstall the same cfw that you are using now

restoring your HDD has nothing to do with your firmware
