I was wondering, I have a PS3 currently on 3.55 CFW which has been untouched since like 2012 (as it has a broken bluray drive) and I would like to mod some games? I was wondering what firmware I should update to (to get it on CEX or something) as I have no idea anymore:- I am also wondering if I can data transfer my mods to my other PS3?

Is it simple patch replacement today? Because I do see a lot of tools. I am wondering if I have to get my bluray fixed?

No you don't need your bluray fixed. :p you can install games onto your HDD through FTP or External Device :p If you're on CEX it is best to go to the latest CFW as you can go online. You can transfer patch.ff over to other ps3s but dont do eboots.

What's the latest CFW I should be on? And then I can just transfer my patches that I've put on for example using comgenies file manager or blackb0x? Also I would have to transfer from my main PS3 first wouldn't I to get my game data on my jailbroken ps3? (Not done this for a while!)

Well I'm not to sure, but I'm guessing the latest firmware is 4.65, i don't know, but you can check on your OFW ^_^ And if your OFW is on the same Firmware as your CFW you will be able to transfer from your main ps3 first. If its not, you wont be able to ^_^

If its console ban change your CID. If its account ban change your Mac Address, not sure how though.

Ahh I think it's a console ban :/ Guessing I have to buy a console ID? Kind of sucky considering I bought the service after they said they would give me a refund if I got banned because they where that sure I wasn't going to get banned..

If there was a service done i doubt it is a console ban probs just a account ban from the game.
