(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Did an E3 downgrade yesterday, everything went fine. I patched ofw 4.60 and was able to upgrade to habib 6.65 cfw via usb through xmb, then I enabled qa flag, I think this is were I messed up as I think I should've downgraded to 3.55 and enabled qa flag there first. Anyway after enabling qa flag on habib I rebooted and ended up in FSM so I rebooted now Im stuck at RSOD and cant get into recovery. I have an e3 card reader if that helps. can someone point me in the right direction?

Pretty sure qa should've been toggled while on 3.55. Perhaps, try this: You must login or register to view this content. ?

Think you're right. I'll try this, if it works I'm downgrading to 3.55 then qa flag. I will post results in hopes it helps someone in my situation in the future. Truth be told I shouldn't have rushed. I totally spaced out habibs qa flag not working properly unless qa flag was enabled in 3.55. I think this was fixed in a later pkg released by habib but apparently I had the old file on my pc. I think there's a fix to this issue of habibs qa flag but I wasn't able to find it.

i bricked my ps3 once! Had to solder a cable from sbe on E3 Ribbon cable to my Nor tristate on the ps3 motherboard. once i did that i was able to restore a properly working and dump.
idk if its exactly this problem u have, but may be a last opportunity?

I'm trying this today. I still have good nor dumps but I cant get into FSM with E3 dongle or Recovery mode so i cant do any of the rsod fixes on the ps3dev wiki. Lesson learned...

Heres the problem:

1. power on
2. Searching for update screen
3 RSoD

no FSM
no Recovery menus

I have an e3 limited kit and good dumps.
Ill try the tristate soldering
should I flash the patched bin or the original one?

Im positive, like i said in op. I had it working then I qa flagged on habib 4.65 and thats what started the issue. it was fine until I qa flagged without qa flagging in 3.55 first.
