Why are people calling Rogeros CFW "Rogeros 4.60 CFW" and "Rogeros 4.65 CFW" ? Only because I thought it could only go on 3.55 ps3s

Please can someone explain this to me
Thank you.
If your PS3 was jailbroken before 3.56 patch, you are able to install custom firmwares made for higher updates such as 4.60 & 4.65. They cannot be installed over official firmwares from 3.56 & up!
Akaipwn is right. The firmwares are purely based on 4.60 & 4.65. They still however require the exploits only available in 3.55 to be installed, so the only way to install them is to either be on 3.55 OFW, or with a hardware flasher.
I appreciate the replies! So my PS3 Slim is on OFW 3.55 and i will install Rogeros 3.55 CFW onto it. Will this --> "4.66 SPOOF Enabler-Disabler v1.11 by ARCH.pkg" work on Rogeros firmware? If it works, all the other stuff eg "PSNPatch, PSninja" will work too?
Spoofs for 4.66 only work on 4.xx custom firmwares, so you'd need to install a 4.xx custom firmware if you plan to go online. 3.55 custom firmwares are generally outdated now, and I would definitely advise using a newer 4.xx CFW, as compatibly with homebrew will be higher.
What is the best 4.xx CFW to get? What is the most popular one? All of my package files are the latest ones that work for 4.66. I haven't actually installed anything AT ALL on my ps3 yet. Im new to this by the way.
Pretty much ones the ps3 is jailbroken you can update and downgrade as much as you wish because the checks are removed on that system part.
SO you jailbreak on 3.55(i always used rebug and ITA). So you put 3.55 rebug on it then go to 4.46 then I went to dex and then you can upgrade freely to any firmware. And to get in cex agai you swap the kernels back in cex and put rebug cex firmware on again
