With that being said, I am going to need things spelled out to me in laymans terms or step by step. I'm brilliant in my fields of study (well, at least I think I am) but for some reason I can't seem to figure any of this out.

I had my PS3 modded back in the spring. It is currently running multiMAN 4.55.00. PS3 System: Firmware 4.55.

I have listed my number of questions below.

1) When trying to get online or the PS3 Network, I have to update my system software. Is there a way to do this without jeapordizing my mod?

2) I contacted the guy that modified my system and he said I can get updated firmware to fix all little problems and stuff. Could someone direct me where to get the update and the proper way to instal it/them?

3) Some of my backups have the word "Split" in red and they won't play (see attached image). What causes this and how do I fix it?

4) I was told some backups only work on internal hdd's and not external. Is there a list to know what ones that is?

5) When backing up the new Disney Infinity 2.0 that I recently purchased for my nephew, I can't play it from the backup or the disk until I update the system software. Any advice? The exact language is: The systme software of your PS3 system is version 4.55. To start, you must update to version 4.60 or later. Do you want to update now?

It gave me an option to update the multiMAN. I downloaded it on my PS3, but then couldn't figure out how to install it. Would this fix any or all of my issues? and how do I install?

Any help today?
