(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I want to start modding games on the PlayStation 3 but first I need to jailbreak it. I'm not sure if my ps3 was on the 3.55 update so I'm afraid to invest money in downgrading it not working. If you guys could please answer my questions below to your best ability it would be very much appreciated.

Q: How much does a E3 Flasher usually cost in american currency? Usually I've been seeing flashers that cost around $100+ USD.

Q: If my ps3 was not on the 3.55 patch could I still downgrade it if I purchased a E3 Flasher? This is another thing that is holding me back on modding beside's the prices of the flasher.

Q: How do you actually jailbreak the PlayStation3? I've seen thousands upon thousands of fake videos misguiding me and filling my head with lies on how to jailbreak my console.

I may have more questions.. Smile

Do a barrel roll!
Jail breaking isn't hard at all. I just looked on eBay and i saw a couple of e3 flashers for about $50. The answer to your second question is yes. There is no point for a e3 flasher if you are already on the 3.55 ofw.

To jailbreak you ps3 you can look for a download off nextgenupdate and after you download the file you should have a pup file. First you put your USB in you computer and make a new folder called PS3 (with caps) inside of that you make a new folder named UPDATE (also with caps). Inside the UPDATE folder you will place the file you downloaded in there. After you done with all of that you will have to go into safe mode by simply holding the power button down until the ps3 turns off. Then you do the same thing but this time you would hear two fast beeps that's when you want to let go. When in safe mode you have to select check for updates and when you check it make sure it says 3.55 cfw or something similar. It may take awhile but after its done you'll be jail broken. I hoped this helped. 😀😀😀

According to my PlayStation 3, the update data of version 3.50 or later can be installed on the system. Does this mean my console is able to downgrade? I am not on 3.55 OFW
