I've tried saving users saves to my flash drive & sending them to my ps3, most of them download ok but when i install them to my ps3 they dont even show up to load in the game, Am i doing something wrong?

To use another person's game save you have to:
1. Put it on your usb
2. Go to your ps3
3. Go to game data utility
4. Click on usb
5. Press triangle on save then copy

You need a save re-signer, which will change the permissions inside the save file to fit your profile. Without doing this, you will get an error telling you that you don't own the save game & therefore cannot use it. There are several free re-signers available, but my favorite one is Xploder, which is unfortunately paid & not free.

You're almost right. This is how you'd get the save file on the console, but re signing is a vital step for almost all games. Unless of course you've downloaded an unsigned save file, in which case you should be able to use it on any account without permission errors.

I always use Ps3 Save Resigner 1.4 . It's a simple (and free) program which will allow you to resign all gamesaves to your ID. For a tutorial, just look it up on Youtube, there are tons of tutorials out there.
