Ok u need an e3 flasher look it up and a tut on youtube or buy a ps3 that is or not jailbroken and make sure if its not it should be on 3.55.

DOWNGRADING

If your on a ofw (regular ps3 update) you will need to downgrade to downgrade your ps3 using a e3 flasher. Not all systems use a e3 flasher you have to look on the back of your ps3 for a cech serial number. Once you find it enter it in Google and see what you need (not all systems are able to be downgraded).

INSTALLING A CFW

Once you downgrade to 3.55 you will now be able to jailbreak. You can look around nextgenupdate for a 3.55 cfw. After you install that you will have to update to a higher custom firmware. You can use whatever you want but I would prefer 4.46 rebug. You can look online for more.

PLAYING ONLINE WITH MODS

Since your not to a more recent firmware you will have to spoof your system. You can look for tutorials as there are many ways to do it. This will allow you to play online. Another useful pkg file you'll need is PS ninja. It will decrease the odds of you getting banned (look on YouTube for tutorials on that pkg file). To mod a game such as black ops 2 you will need gsc studios found in the modding tool section and a gsc download. Go to custom games open a new project in gsc studio and press inject after its done start the game then end it and restart it again and you'll have a menu

Do I need a laptop and a USB

Yes you need it to jailbreak 3.55/update cfw/andt download pkg files. REMEMBER YOU CANT JAILBREAK HIGHER THAN 3.55
