You need to be on System Update 3.55 or lower to jailbreak and the only way to downgrade is using a E3 Flasher (which is only compatible with certain PS3 models).

In order for you to mod a game you will have to jailbreak your ps3( you can only jailbreak on 3.55 or lower). You can downgrade using a e3 flasher which is about $50 on eBay.

Invest in a e3 flasher and downgrade your ps3
