I've never had to obtain a new CID before so I'm just curious as to how I actually go about doing it? I know buying a new console is a possibility but is there any other way? I was on 4.50ita and understand there's a "Set new CID" option in itaManager but yeah I'm unsure about how I can obtain one that doesn't give you this error (8002A224). Any information at all would be a help.

You will need a new console id in order to get back online. The "Set New CID" option in ps3ita manager is to enter the new cid that you obtain if you need a cid add me on skype newyorkk254

Just go to the store and buy a PS3 with OFW. Rip the CID using software, return the PS3 for your money back, enter the new CID, profit
