Well,to cut a long story short,I am a game console technician by trade of many years now.
An individual has purchased a console from me,the console was completely setup for him with DEX installed, apps, mods for bo2 and more.
However,he stated that before going online he has ran PSNpatch, pressed X on the controller to select all the available options, the console goes to a black screen forcing him to remove the power cable, when re powering the console on the message is displayed about the " file system on the hard drive is corrupted "
When re formats the hard drive the same message is displayed.
I provided him with a free slim setup again with DEX installed and Not even 24 hours of the customer receiving the console the same issue has occurred........he insists he has not tried applying mods/software on his behalf and that the issue occurs after running PSNpatch.
Is this method of corrupting your internal hdd even possible by running PSNpatch?? This issue has never occurred by customers and seems to be only occurring with this specific customer??

I had an issue with 4.66 ferrox cex giving me a black screen when the fw first came out. I opened up psn patch and it said it needed updated after hitting x it went to a black screen and the only way to fix it was to reinstall the fw from usb and recovery menu. No hd issues though. I have a slim, this issue was more prevalent on phat consoles
