You need to bridge connect from PC to PS3.

Dammit, i was gonna say what Joel said, but i'll say it better. First, hook up a ethernet cable and use wired connection on your ps3, go to your pc and hit your 5 bars that signal your wifi connection in the bottom right, hit open network and sharing, adapter settings on the right, go to your wifi, right click, hit properties, select sharing, share it with your local area connection or ethernet cord. They're both the same, just some pc bios have it named different. Then go reboot your ps3, and check the connection. Also, this is how you do it on windows, and i'm assuming you have a vpn on the pc because you have to have it on the pc connection in order for it to go to the ps3.
