1-go on eBay but a PS3 on 3.55 official firmware



2-jailbreak to a 3.55 cfw (kmeaw)

I would stay on Cex as your knew to modding



3- jailbreak to a rebug firmware I would go to rebug 4.46.1, can download on rebug me



4-Install the rebug toolbox as a package file



5-Go on YouTube and download a 4.66 cfw spoofer, that will allow you to get on psn



6-Go on NGU and get ftp's like black box, multiman, comgenies awesome file manager, make sure you download the 4.** above for them install packages or you won't be able to open them, a ftp will allow you to access your PS3's Hard drive and main drive so you can add patches



7-download FileZilla on your pc/laptop so you can access your PS3 hard drive wireless, so you can add file a lot faster, if you don't understand look on YouTube



8- download a CCapi on your laptop as your on CEX because your new to modding, then download the pkg file so your able to connect on your PS3. this will allow you to RTM on call of duty and many other things

always go to a 3.55 cfw from ofw first just to be safe.then which cfw you go to is based on what your looking to do cex if your goign to just use it for playing backed uop games and dex if your going to want to mod games.

Go to kmeaw 3.55 first. Set your QA flag. Then to whichever Rebug you want (you said two different versions).
